It started like any other flu season. No one figured it would be the end of the world.
When a rushed H1N1 vaccine hits the public during a widespread outbreak, the cure becomes far worse than the disease. Victims convulse, collapse, die—then rise again with an insatiable hunger for human flesh.
Now, the dead walk, society crumbles overnight, and America becomes a blood-soaked wasteland.
Michael Talbot, former-Marine and self-proclaimed survivalist, never expected to use his doomsday prepping for real. But when the virus hits home, Mike must do everything in his power to protect his family and a ragtag group of survivors. With bullets, brains, and biting sarcasm, he faces a world gone mad—fighting off both the undead and his own slow slide into insanity.
But these aren’t your average zombies. They’re evolving. Organizing. Something darker is guiding them. A mysterious boy who is more than he seems may hold the key, and a terrifying zombie queen is building an army. In the fortress town of Little Turtle, Mike and what’s left of civilization prepare for a final stand.
This is the beginning of the end. And Mike’s just the guy to crack a joke while it all burns down.

‘Yorkshire’s answer to Inspector Morse.’ The Bookseller
‘Enough to satisfy the most ardent lover of crime fiction.’ Yorkshire Evening Post
Charlie Priest isn’t your typical angst-ridden detective with a drink problem. He gets on well with his constables and has an actual sense of humour.
Yorkshire isn’t just picturesque villages and sheep stealing. Detective Priest is about to face international art scammers.
An exhibition with ten famous paintings, including a Picasso, is touring England. But four of the artworks have been secretly switched with fakes — forged by Priest’s old art teacher, Rudi Truscott.
Looks like crime doesn’t take a day off, but neither does Priest.
Before Priest can dig deeper, Truscott dies in a suspicious fire — nothing but a pile of ash remains of the poor sod.
With his only lead up in smoke, Priest needs to find the crooks . . . before they strike again.
This character-driven detective mystery full of wry humour is perfect for fans of Colin Dexter, Reginald Hill, J.R. Ellis, P.F. Ford and Roger Silverwood.

The Detective
Charlie Priest’s father and grandfather were both detectives. He is now the longest-serving detective in the small town of Heckley, Yorkshire. After a messy divorce that left him cleaned out, he uses work and his dry humour as an escape. Priest is devoted to finding crooks and watching out for his team of young constables. He hates being called sir or Mr. Priest — it makes him feel old, and don’t ever say a bad word about his old, beat-up Ford Cortina.
The Setting
Heckley is a fictional town in Yorkshire, England. Locally referred to as The Tops, Heckley has picturesque views over the rugged hills, bleak moors and narrow lanes bordered by dry-stone walls. Residents like to nip to their local pub for a pint and a chinwag about local lore.

According to legend, the Sinclairs are gifted with heightened senses in order to protect members of the Raven family. But what happens when the Sinclairs find love instead? An enchanting set of Regency romances from USA Today bestseller, Wendy Vella.
SENSING DANGER (Eden and James)
Arrogant and aloof, James, Duke of Raven, is determined to forge his own path and to hell with folk tales that his ancestors created. But when the breathtaking Eden Sinclair saves his life by risking her own, their past resurfaces, and with it comes the uncomfortable realization that they are linked by more than history.
SEEING DANGER (Dev and Lilly)
Miss Lilliana Braithwaite has always appeared a woman of little sense, with a tendency to dress like a color-blind field mouse. Dev had, for two years, ignored her until one night he finds her on the streets of London, attempting to rescue a child, and thereby hurling herself into danger. From that day forth everything between them changes, and in Lilly he finds the woman who could tame his heart. However, she does not appear convinced by that fact.
TOUCHED BY DANGER (Max and Essie)
Healer, Essex Sinclair understands her family’s heightened senses are a result of a long-ago pact between the Sinclairs and the powerful Raven family, but has always struggled to feel worthy of bearing the legendary Sinclair name. Unlucky in love, Essie has resolved to live a quiet, solitary life as a healer and leave passion to the young and foolish. When Max Huntington falls into her herb garden, a bullet hole in his side, her only intention is to heal him quickly and send him on his way. Then she touches him, and from that moment on, fate steps in with dangerous consequences for them both.
