Description:

As Caddi's killers rampage through Orchard Close the usual defenders are helpless, but unlikely heroes make their own stand. As dawn shows the extent of the death and destruction, Harold reaches out to the Barbies. A huge bribe buys medicine and treatment at Beth's, but that won't save those too badly hurt to move.

The pyres hold a third of Orchard Close's residents, many are badly injured, and the General is still out there. Despite the damage refugees still arrive, some of them providing a ray of hope. In death, Caddi gifts the injured a chance at life, but only if the bad girls on the block agree. While eight gangs clash, Harold tries once again to save his love.

Elsewhere the Zoo have a chance to gain allies, but to do so they must risk meeting Conan and his Barbarians. Events around Orchard Close give Sutton Park a respite, while Prof and the SIMS test their new weapons against the Borg. The Cabal launch their final armoured drive to destroy the Reivers, followed by the Specials to process any captives. At the other end of the country, Londoners plan for the day the armour comes for them.

The General is gathering allies, desperate to hit Orchard Close before their wounded can recover. He builds the biggest army seen in the city, nearly a thousand armed men from eight gangs, all determined to crush Orchard Close. The Barbies and GOFS are neutralised, rockets tear holes in the walls, and a saboteur strikes inside Orchard Close, but a depleted Riot Squad step up to face the horde. Outnumbered ten to one they can't win, but hope the Last Man Standing will pull the General's Army down with him.

“Wow!!!!! I love the story!! I was just going to read a few pages today and then couldn't put the book down!!" – Goodreads Reviewer

Some wounds run deeper than the fractured earth. Some love is worth risking everything to heal them.

Two hundred years after the Shift, Luke O'Brien has spent his life hunting the sand-ravaged lands for the "drifters" who killed his father. When he's sent to negotiate an impossible peace, the last thing he expects is to be captured by Kaia—a fierce mountain warrior whose green eyes burn with a hatred he doesn't understand.

Kaia knows the soshos murdered her cousin Cole during one of their brutal raids, but she doesn't know which one pulled the trigger. As the sacred leader of her people, she should kill this enemy where he stands. Instead, she takes him prisoner, torn between the revenge that burns in her blood and the impossible peace her dying world desperately needs.

Forced to cross the unforgiving desert where water is sacred and sandstorms kill without warning, they discover truths that will challenge everything they believe. Luke isn't just another enemy—he might be the key to her people's survival. And Kaia isn't another "drifter"—she's the one person who could show him there's more to life than revenge.

But when devastating secrets surface, they have to face whether their growing bond can withstand the shattering truth. Because in a world where trust is deadly and hope is scarce, some bonds are worth defying destiny itself. Even when the truth threatens to destroy everything.

Earth and Ember is a soul-stirring survival romance that weaves Indigenous wisdom with epic adventure and a love story that will leave you breathless. If you crave rich world-building and prose you can feel deep in your bones, this dystopian tale will stay with you long after the final page.

But when he returns to a college campus looking for Allie, he discovers she is a Zaphead—nearly unrecognizable as the human he once loved. Mackie becomes caught in a power struggle among a small group of survivors who turn the campus into a stronghold against the Zaphead threat. His old nemesis, Lucas Krider, has taken charge, but Krider’s vision of a new world is just as horrifying as the extinction they all face.

Will Mackie sacrifice himself so the group has a chance to survive, or will his demons turn out to be more dangerous than the strange, rampaging creatures that nature has unleashed?

They didn’t always follow us. There was a time before the Blobs.

This is the official record—assembled from surviving footage, interviews, dramatizations, and conflicting eyewitness accounts. The first arrival. The first host. The first questions no one could answer.

Before the theories spiraled out of control. Before we stopped wondering why a Blob chooses its host… there was a single Blob that started it all.

Can humanity survive under constant, invisible surveillance— where punishment is delivered without warning, trial, or appeal, and life itself depends on understanding what not to do?

It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we don’t have a choice.

"Adrian's Undead Diary series is a must have for your zompoc collection." Ben S Reeder, Author of The Zompoc Survivor Series
"A kick-ass protagonist. Bad-ass zombies. A cool-ass thrill ride. Adrian's Undead Diary is easily one of the best zombie tales out there. Chris Philbrook is on my keeper shelf." Rachel Aukes, best selling author of 100 Days in Deadland.
"A realistic account of the zombie apocalypse that sucks you right in. A great series!" T.W. Piperbrook, author of the Contamination series.

Beheading a zombie isn't easy in a world where you're more afraid of the living than the dead.

Adrian Ring's simple life is thrown into chaos when the world is ripped apart by a plague of undead and scores of desperate survivors. Retreating to Auburn Lake Preparatory Academy, Adrian attempts to rescue friends and family on the way while dancing around his impending insanity over who and what he left behind, and evading maniac survivors.

He saves his cat Otis, but shoots his mom.

Pretty successful, all things considered.

Dark Recollections is the first part of Adrian's own horror story of how he survived after the zombie apocalypse of "That Day." Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal," and through short stories that entwine with his tales that bring forth dark visions of a world being eaten alive by an unimaginable evil. Adrian's Undead Diary is an eight part epic about a solitary, guilt stricken man that didn't think he deserved to live, but realizes very soon that he survived, and suffered for a reason.

It's a great read for anyone. The stories are well written, characters build carefully and every detail is covered. People, this is what a great book looks like! Stop reading this review and start reading the book! -Frank D of zombie-guide.com

I don't even think one needs to be a fan of zombie fiction to end up a fan of AUD; because Chris's talent can't be pigeonholed into one limited, literary genre. His true talent lies in weaving an enduring, sweeping story that does exactly what it's supposed to do... pulls you in, engrosses you, evokes emotion, and leaves you satisfied (if not a little bit sad) when it's over. In the case of AUD, for me, the zombies are just a bonus! -Wendi Haegle
