The Popular Next Generation of the Zombie Apocalypse Begins. An Absorbing Disaster Thriller. You’ll Never See Zombie Drugs the Same Way!
Coastal Wilmington, North Carolina, stands in the crosshairs. Authorities insist the newest zombie street drug is causing outbreaks of frenzied crazies. The residents think they are zombies, the alive kind that run.
A PhD candidate, Phebe Marcelino, dismisses the threat as scaremongering. Day by day, life slides sideways until crashing through her scientific rationale and front windows.
For former Staff Sergeant Peter Sullivan, the danger is an excellent thing. War is what he’s good at. Life is what he sucks at. His veteran-turned-cop buddies face drug users, while trope aficionados implore them to shoot the damn zombies in the head!
Do you have what it takes to fight?
Harsh language and big words aren’t gonna cut it. The odds rest with the bantering, unflappable vets. But how to rendezvous with them through free-for-all chaos? Phebe will need to pull out a desperate battle she’s only ever seen from the women of “The Descent” and the “Aliens” movies. You never know what you are made of until tested!
A unique disaster, influenced by the true-life zombie drugs and the 2012 bath salts event. Contains military dark humor.
“Great characters and believable action. Speaking as a cynical old soldier and nitpicking fool, all I can say about this book is it rocks hard, and I could not wait to see the sequel. Most of these types of books are boring and derivative—not this one.”—Amazon reviewer, the Old Soldier Michael L.
“This one goes in the reread pile!Love this book. It puts a new spin on zombie fiction, and quite frankly, scared the crap out of me, since out of all the zombie books I’ve read, this one seems like it could really happen! The storyline, humor, and action helped keep me reading instead of heading out to buy a bunker.”—Amazon reviewer Carolyn.

Start your adventures with Malja in this action-packed, post-apocalyptic fantasy!
In a parallel world destroyed by magic, one woman fights all odds to survive and find the answers behind her mysterious past.
Malja searches for the two magicians who stole her at birth, trained her to be a killing machine, and then tossed her away at ten. She wants to know why this happened and most importantly, who she really is.
But facing unrelenting challenges – crazed magicians, guitar-playing assassins, mutated beasts – she pushes through with a single-mindedness that may destroy all she holds dear.
Find out why Fictitious Chronicle called The Way of the Black Beast “incredible and impressive” and Workaday Reads called it “a great start to a series, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.”
Interview with the Author
Q – So, what makes The Malja Chronicles special?
A – I’ve been a published writer for almost 20 years, and the most exciting time has been in the last few years. The doors have been blown wide open, allowing writers like me to mix and mash genre in ways that weren’t acceptable a decade ago. So, when I set out to write this series, I wanted to create something that hit upon what I like most in reading. Fantasy, science fiction, wild monsters, a kick-butt heroine, fast-paced style, all rolled into one! Basically, I didn’t let old genre conventions get in my way.
The Malja Chronicles books are a great mix of these genres and more. You won’t find the old fantasy tropes here. No, sire. You’ll find the series starts off more in the post-apocalyptic end — sort of a Xena meets Mad Max vein — and then later moves into a multiverse which really open up the possibilities!
Overall, The Malja Chronicles is meant to keep you turning the pages – and I’ve made sure there’s never a dull moment.
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – I’ve written the series in two story arcs. Each book is a full story in itself, but if read in order, you’ll get the bigger story arc as well. In order, they are:
– The Way of the Black Beast
– The Way of the Sword and Gun
– The Way of the Brother Gods
– The Way of the Blade
– The Way of the Power
– The Way of the Soul
Q – So, why should readers give these books a try?
A – Because The Malja Chronicles is a fast, action-packed, thrill-ride adventure! Book 1 has reached the Top 10 on several lists while the series has a whole is my bestselling series.
Ultimately, readers who enjoy high action, cool magic, strange monsters, and new wonders will get a kick out of this series.
And thanks for reading!

Chance is wrong.
Too late, he uncovers a plot by The Glom to rig the trial and neurally enslave the citizens of Neo Terminus—forever. Blinded by fame and fortune and used as a pawn by the corporate machine, Chance fights back.

I don’t like new people. They don’t know the rules of my town. They poke their noses in places they shouldn’t and mess things up.
That’s why when James Maddock walks into my bar, I keep my distance. He might act like a nice guy, but he spells trouble.
And that’s the last thing I need when I’ve got my life on track.
But I might not have a choice. Suddenly the tentative peace in our small town is exploding. War threatens between the gangs, and slavers and raiders lurk at our doors. To protect myself, I might have to do things I swore not to. Like trusting gang members.
Maybe even working with them.
Just so long as I don’t fall in love with them, I’ll be fine.
But the future is never certain–the world has ended once and it could end again.
