Maven Cane is finally getting the hang of being a witch and she’s also dealing with being half-thunderbird due to a father that she’s never known. She’s hoping that her mother will finally answer some questions – questions that will lead her to a reunion with her absent father.
But as summer heat descends on Lupine Valley, her mother is busy getting the apothecary ready to open for business, so it seems that Maven’s questions will have to wait.
What’s more, there is strange magic on the move and rumors floating through town – rumors of Bison Witches and Thunderbirds – legends as old as magic itself and Maven wants to find out more.
When her boyfriend, the handsome deputy and crow-shifter Rook Corbin, lets it slip that the bison witches are looking for her, Maven suspects that it’s because of her own thunderbird heritage and she hopes that the bison witches will have the key that helps her to finally find her father after all of these years. But the bison witches prove to be elusive, and Maven’s got bigger problems.
Because someone is unleashing a spate of magic lamps on the unsuspecting townsfolk, trapping them inside with no hope for escape. And when her own mother gets trapped inside of one of the lamps, Maven has to put everything else on hold to find a way to free the victims before time runs out.
Being trapped in a lamp is a fate worse than death and Maven’s got her hands full as she hunts for the rogue magical being that is creating all of the havoc, not to mention that when she finally meets up with the bison witches, she finds out that they have plans for her life that Maven is not entirely on board with.

You’d think that any sane supernatural being would want to reward a succubus who punishes corrupt politicians. Inflicting retribution on bad people is one of the things demons do best. However, the bunch of officious twits who constitute the Council of the Portal have a different perspective on things and they’re not happy with me.
Being arrested so that I’m forced to listen to a group of pompous bureaucrats pontificate would put me in a bad mood at the best of times, but when it interferes with me introducing a cambion to her powers and ensuring she doesn’t fall into the clutches of demon hunters (also known as the tinfoil hat brigade) then the Council is risking serious consequences and it’s going to be up to me to avert them.

Berylka’s healing journey begins the moment she tumbles into the river.
When she washes up in Silverfern Hollow, all she wants is to be left alone with her cozy cottage, her battered tools, and the territorial baby dragon who’s claimed her sock drawer as its den.
But the town has other plans. Starting with raspberry wine, a witch, and a mysterious creature at her doorstep who insist on becoming her friends.
There’s also Brannic, the local blacksmith: a broad-shouldered brute with a secret artistic streak and a soft spot for Berylka. They start off as rivals and clash like iron on anvil… until sparks fly.
As Berylka rediscovers her dream of goldsmithing, she finds herself drawn into the warmth of a town that doesn’t care about her past. But when river pirates threaten everything she’s come to love, she must decide if she’s ready to fight—not just for the Hollow, but for a future forged with her own hands.
A Goblin’s Guide to Goldsmithing is a cozy fantasy of found family, healing journey, grumpy rivals-to-lovers romance, and baby dragons. It weaves in serious themes like recovering from domestic abuse with warmth, humor, and heart.
It’s book 2 of the Tales of Silverfern Hollow series. Each book can be read as a standalone.
