Linda Porter was born in Exeter, grew up in London, and has a doctorate in History from the University of York. A regular contributor to history magazines and broadcasts, and the author of several books including biographies of Mary Tudor and Katherine Parr, she won the 2004 Biographers’ Club/Daily Mail Prize.
