In the not too distant future, on a decaying space-station from a high Venus orbit, a cantankerous and disgraced scientist awaits the delivery of a mysterious shipment. He hopes to use it to invent a new propulsion system and, in doing so, salvage his reputation. However the station’s decommissioning crew, led by Chief O’Connor, are sceptical about his plans. They believe them to be nothing but drunken delusions, a theory which seems more than plausible given the bold and outlandish claims he has been making of late. A routine docking going seriously awry, and a number of other strange goings-on around the station have thrown the crew into chaos. Accusations of theft and sabotage are thrown around, and for a while it seems as though everyone is doomed. However the source of the mystery is far beyond any of the crew’s comprehension, and the key to their salvation lies in the hands of a very unlikely hero. https://www.facebook.com/DoylesLawSamRoberts Reviews from Goodreads ????? “…Plot was insane, in the best way of course … made for a page turning experience…” ????? “…I thought I had it all figured out but was so wrong. New York Times bestselling author Steve Alten delivers Phobos, the thrilling final entry in the Domain trilogy, a dazzling look at Mayan mythology incarnate
For two thousand years, the Mayan Calendar has prophesied the end of mankind on a date equating to December 21st, 2012. As that day approaches, greed, corruption, economic collapse, and violence seem to be pushing our species to the predicted brink of disaster. But there is another Doomsday threat looming in our near future, a very real threat that can wipe-out not only humanity but our entire planet.
Phobos: Mayan Fear is a doomsday rollercoaster ride of adventure that follows Immanuel Gabriel to the end of the world and back again for one last shot at salvation. During Immanuel’s journey with his deceased grandfather, archaeologist Julius Gabriel, Julius reveals everything the Mayans knew and feared—from the secrets of creation that predate the Big Bang to the existence of extraterrestrials that have come to Earth to save our species.
The universe is not what it seems, nor is human existence. The ticking clock of physicality that begins at conception and terminates with our final breath is neither the end nor the beginning, but an elaborate ruse constructed as a test.
We are failing miserably.

After taking command of a carrier strike group deployed to the Mediterranean, Greek and Turkish tensions reach the boiling point when ships are lost under mysterious circumstances. With Flip’s strike group in the region, Russia flexes its muscle, first with airpower, then with a naval deployment the volume of which the world had not seen since the Russo-Japanese War to deny the West use of the North Atlantic. Tasked by Washington to confront the onslaught, Flip must maneuver his forces to avoid detection and be in position to strike first when the order comes. When overhead sensors are denied, the action reverts to a traditional detect-to-engage slugfest in three-domains, a high-end fight at sea between two nuclear-armed navies that holds Europe and North America at risk.
